Aquavance 2025 is preparing for a new edition in which innovation, sustainability, and boldness will be the central pillars.
Founded by Daniel and Denisse Madariaga, this movement —more than an award— seeks to inspire those who see in water an opportunity to transform the future.
The expert jury of Aquavance 2025:
“Aquavance is an invitation to those who dare to imagine solutions no one else has conceived”, stated Daniel Madariaga Barrilado during the announcement of the expert jury that will evaluate this year’s projects.
The open call, which brings together minds committed to sustainable water management, will feature a high-level multidisciplinary panel.
Among the jury members are Daniela Hernández, general director of Earth & Life University and a leader in the training of change-makers; Delfín Montañana, specialist in integral sustainability and director of socio-environmental education at Isla Urbana; and Jimena Silva, environmental consultant and activist focused on equitable access to water in Mexico City.
Also participating are Patricia Hernández, director of the National Association of Water and Sanitation Entities; Marissa Mar, an expert in communication and public policy with two decades of experience in water-related issues; and Raúl Rodríguez, president of the Water Advisory Council, recognized for his work in sustainable management policies.
Madariaga emphasized that Aquavance seeks bold minds and projects that transform the way we understand and use water, driving technologies with real impact.
Its mission, he said, is “to connect, empower, and accelerate those who are building solutions for a fairer future in harmony with nature”. With this new edition, Aquavance reaffirms its purpose: to create the current of change.
A prominent Mexican sustainability advocate, Daniel Madariaga works at the intersection of tourism, environmental design, and food security. He promotes regenerative models like MABO and green construction to address climate and social challenges.
